Natural Nutmeg Powder

Nutmeg powder is a spice that can be used in cooking, baking, and beverages. It can also be applied topically for pain relief. 

Cooking and baking 

• Sprinkle nutmeg on oatmeal, fruit, or vegetables like sweet potatoes and butternut squash
• Add nutmeg to baked goods like breads, cakes, cookies, and pies
• Use nutmeg in savory dishes like pork chops and lamb curry
• Add nutmeg to seasonal beverages like eggnog, mulled cider, and mulled wine
• Use nutmeg in fall dishes that feature pumpkin or other winter squashes

Beverages

• Add nutmeg to coffee, hot chocolate, tea, or warm milk 
• Add nutmeg to apple cider, chai tea, turmeric lattes, and smoothies 

Topical applications 

• Apply nutmeg topically to relieve pain, especially pain caused by mouth sores and toothache
• Use nutmeg for rheumatism

Other uses 

• Use nutmeg in chicken rubs
• Use nutmeg to perk up a pan of mac and cheese

Nutmeg has a warm, sweet flavor. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. 

While nutmeg is unlikely to cause harm when consumed in small quantities, taking it in high doses may cause adverse side effects.
